How does the process
work?
Your attending physician,
physical therapist or occupational therapist will determine the
medical necessity for a Power Wheelchair, and complete the necessary
forms. Once medical necessity has been established, your physician
will sign a prescription for your wheelchair.
Senior Wheels USA
staff coordinates the paperwork process to insure the proper documentation
is obtained that meet the insurance guidelines necessary for approval.
After determining
the appropriate size seat and what accessories you need, we then
have an order placed with the Power Wheelchair manufacturer. The
process generally takes about 2 weeks.
A certified technician
will then come to your residence and instruct you on all the safety
and operational procedures of the Power Wheelchair, and be available
for follow-up support and maintenance.
